Celebrating the State of the Lands

Members, friends, partners, and funders gather to celebrate the collective impact of Oregon’s land trust community

On March 16th, 2016, at the Lucky Lab in NW Portland, the Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts celebrated the release of our 2015 State of the Lands report with about 70 friends, members, and supporters. The fun and festive event was enjoyed by all.

We were joined by the new president of the Land Trust Alliance, Andrew Bowman, who was in Oregon for just a couple of days. He shared with the crowd his vision of the Four R’s of conservation:

  • Making land conservation more relevant to more people,
  • Increasing the rate of land conservation,
  • Empowering land trusts to be more resilient to known challenges, and
  • Making land conservation as rigorous as possible.

We are grateful for everyone who came to support conservation in Oregon!
