On the 15th and 16th of September, 2016, COLT members met at the Lake Creek Lodge in Camp Sherman, Oregon, for our Summer / Fall board meeting. Beginning with an enjoyable reception on the evening of the 14th at the Deschutes Brewery’s Public House in Bend, the following two days near the lovely Metolius River gave Oregon’s land trust community time to reconnect, discuss a number of matters pertinent to our collective work, and just enjoy being in the beauty of the Metolius region.
In addition, Deschutes Land Trust’s Executive Director Brad Chalfant provided an engaging look at their comprehensive restoration with partners of Whychus Creek. The Deschutes Partnership has embarked on transformative work to restore lost function to Whychus Creek, and COLT members were able to see first hand the impressive scale and quality of this restoration work.
Many thanks to everyone who came and joined with our board meeting! Enjoy some of the photos below.
