Grants, deadlines, and timely opportunities

  • This Wednesday December 3rd from 11am-12:30pm (PST), the Land Trust Alliance will hold a free webinar for LTA members on how to Create a Strategic Communications Plan. Click here more information and to register.
  • On January 24th, 2015, the Center for Nonprofit Stewardship will hold their 11th annual nonprofit board training conference in Corvallis. This event is tailored to board members, and boasts a diverse selection of presentations. More information here.
  • The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will consider two land acquisitions in the Willamette Valley through BPA’s wildlife habitat mitigation program  when it meets in Salem on Friday, Dec. 5th: Hayden Island in the Willamette, and Coyote Creek Northeast near Eugene.   • It is coming down to the wire now for Congress to pass, and the President to sign, legislation that includes the enhanced federal conservation easement tax incentive. Stay on top of the news.

  • Submitted input and suggestions for OWEB’s Focus Investment Partnership priorities are now available online here.
    • The board will be discussing these at their January and April 2015 board meetings, and OWEB will open solicitation for FIP funding within the accepted priorities starting in May of 2015.
  • In December and January, the Oregon Outdoor Education Coalition will be holding a series of listening sessions throughout Oregon to talk about Outdoor School.
