December 15, 2014 – weekly land trust news

Please find below some of the news that came across our radar screen this week. As always, please let me know if we miss anything.

We are still waiting to hear what the Senate does with HR 5771, the bill that will grant a one-year extension to a host of tax deductions, including our own enhanced conservation easement incentive. The leader of the Senate has given his indication the bill will be voted on in the next day or so, and analysts are confident that it will pass. We will keep you posted.

For a very interesting, if not a bit frustrating, look at our own Sen. Wyden’s last few months, the Washington Post ran a very interesting article last week. Certainly worth a read; link is also posted below.
