October 10, 2017: Nature in our blood, OAHP news article

The Portland Patch recently published a story about the Oregon Agricultural Heritage Program and what it means for Oregon. Above, to help educate elected officials and partners on the role conservation easements can play in conserving farms and ranches, Woody Wolfe led a tour in August on this farm, which is protected with an easement held by the Wallowa Land Trust. Read COLT’s short report to our board on this tour and the two others we organized with local land trusts this summer. Oregon Land Trust News

Nature Runs in our Blood: Columbia Land Trust’s Nadia Gardner (with her son Matteo as part of her muse) penned a personal post about the value of Outdoor School. Measure 99, on the ballot for this November, will provide every 5th and 6th grader in Oregon a week of Outdoor School.

Check out the first published entry from Oregon for the Land Trust Alliance’s “This Land is My____” video competition. This one was made to benefit the Blue Mountains Conservancy.
