October 13, 2015 – weekly land trust news

McKenzie River Trust, represented by Liz Lawrence, was recognized by the Land Trust Alliance for renewing their accreditation at the 2015 Rally. In addition, COLT member Blue Mountain Land Trust was also recognized (but not present) for achieving first-time accreditation. Congratulations to both Oregon land trusts!

COLT’s weekly land trust news

October 13th, 2015

Greetings everyone,

It was great to see so many Oregon land trust staff and a few board members last week at the Land Trust Alliance Rally 2015 in Sacramento. Per usual, the few days together were a mass of conversations, information, inspiration, networking, and learning. Rally 2016 is now set for October 28-30, 2016, in Minneapolis, MN.

If you haven’t seen Rallynet yet, the Alliance attempts to put all the downloadable resources from the sessions on a website for our use. Have a look here if you missed any materials, or couldn’t attend all the conferences you would like. Keep checking back as well; more materials will be posted as they come in.

Finally, I hope everyone has on their calendars COLT’s upcoming board meeting here in Portland on November 5th and 6th. The meeting will begin in the morning on Thursday the 5th, and then end around lunch time on Friday the 6th. We will be hosting a reception for members, partners, and friends the evening of November 5th at Dig-a-Pony (next to our office) from 4-6pm, and will send out a formal invite here soon.

We look forward to gathering again with everyone next month.

Wishing everyone a good week.
