October 17, 2016: Outdoor School, SOLC’s JPR interview

The Outdoor School for All team has fun social media campaign rolling out today and running through October 25th: Go Outside for Outdoor School. To show your (and / or your land trust’s) support for Measure 99, they are asking people to post a short video of yourself outside expressing support for Outdoor School.
See this one-pager for more details.

COLT’s weekly land trust news

Monday October 17th, 2016

Hi folks,

As you can see from the lead photo above, the Outdoor School for All campaign is coordinating a social media blitz starting today and running through October 25th: Go Outside for Outdoor School. It is a fun and easy way to show our support for Measure 99:

  1. Go for a walk, a hike, or simply step outside your home.
  2. Compose a video in Facebook, or record one separately to use on social media.
  3. Record this message, or personalize your own:
“Hi friends! I’m outside to support Outdoor School. I hope you’ll join me and vote Yes on Measure 99!”
  4. Post the video with something like, “I’m #OutsideForOutdoorSchool. Vote YES on Measure 99.”
  5. Add at least 5 friends to the Facebook post, challenging them to make a similar video: “I’m also challenging you, ____, _____, _____, _____,to post your own video outside for Outdoor School. #YesOn99”

For more detailed instructions, see their one-pager. The campaign is working diligently on getting the word out about Measure 99. COLT and a number of our land trust members have formally endorsed the measure, urging Oregonians to vote #Yeson99.

Finally, the listening session last week in Salem on the Oregon Agricultural Heritage Program went well, and we look forward to seeing a number of you at the upcoming sessions. See the schedule below.

Hope everyone has a good week!
