COLT’s weekly land trust news

Monday September 19th, 2016

Hi everyone,

First of all, a quick note of thanks to those who made the trip to join in COLT’s board meeting and activities last week in Bend and Camp Sherman in Central Oregon. We had a very successful meeting, with substantive discussions on a wide range of matters. Plus, as usual, we had some good times together as well.

I put together a short slide show with some highlights from the weekend, which you can find here.

Many thanks to the good staff at Deschutes Land Trust who helped make it all happen. And thanks to the presenters and to the 25 board members and friends who came for the meeting. And of course, much gratitude to Deschute Brewery for the space and beer donation for our reception on the 14th.

We’ll be following up both with the full board and in our weekly news on some issues discussed at the board meeting. So stay tuned.

Finally, we bid a fond and bitter-sweet farewell to Stephanie Manzo this week, who was instrumental this summer helping at COLT during Kelley’s maternity leave. We were very pleased that many of the board were able to meet and get to know her this last week in Camp Sherman. While her formal time at COLT is ending, we hope she won’t be going too far from the land trust community. Thank you Stephanie!!

And thank you dear land trusters. Hope everyone has a good week.
