COLT Welcomes Julie Falk as New Interim Executive Director

The COLT Board of Directors is excited to share that we have hired Julie Falk to serve as COLT’s Interim Executive Director. Please join us in welcoming her! Her first day with the organization is January 29, 2024.

Julie most recently served as the interim Executive Director at Bark, and spent 10 years leading Bitch Media as their Executive Director. She also served as the Board Chair of the Women’s Foundation of Oregon and the French International School of Oregon.

Julie grew up in the farmlands of Kentucky, and after living in Philadelphia, Boston, and Los Angeles, now happily calls the Pacific Northwest home. She has spent over 20 years in nonprofit management, as an executive director and a board member, working in sectors including media, public health, criminal justice, environmental justice, foundations and independent schools, focusing on organizations in transition.

“We’re elated to have Julie on board to help lead our coalition through this important transition. Julie brings to COLT her expertise in organizational growth and change, nonprofit infrastructure and systems, building strong culture, supporting board and staff, and fundraising,” said Board President Amanda Martino.

“It is a privilege to work with you all to prepare COLT for new leadership and its next chapter!” said Julie Falk. “I care deeply about Oregon and the people and wildlife that call it home, and I’m inspired by the work land trusts are doing to protect beautiful places in our state. I look forward to being a part of the COLT community and supporting this important work.”

Please feel free to reach out and say hello to Julie at!
