We’re hiring a Summer Legal Extern!

We’re hiring a part-time summer extern to support COLT’s Oregon Land Justice Project. The summer extern will provide critical capacity in researching, drafting, and compiling legal tools for land trusts to use in partnership with Oregon Tribes to protect cultural resources and increase Tribal access to ancestral lands and first foods. The extern will work closely with all staff at COLT and many of our member land trusts.

The extern will have an opportunity to share their findings at the Land Trust Alliance’s 2023 Rally, which will be held in September in Portland, Oregon (pending acceptance of COLT’s proposal).

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates must be currently enrolled in law school or a recent law school graduate with prior experience, coursework, or interest in Federal Indian Law and/or real estate transactions.
